Terms of Service

Last updated: [Date]

The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and [Company name] ("Pulse", "we"), a company registered in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Pulse.

Who can use Pulse

Your account

You're responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your sign-in method secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other members at risk.

Acceptable use

Pulse exists to help friends meet up in real life. Don't use it to:

Because members vouch each other in, behaviour that gets you removed can also affect the standing of accounts connected to yours, as described in the app.

Your content

You own what you post. You give us the licence we need to show it to the people you share it with and to operate the service — nothing more. Delete it and we stop showing it.

Venues, bookings, and third parties

Pulse suggests venues, shows opening hours, and hands you off to booking, ticketing, and map services. Those businesses are not us: their availability, pricing, and terms are their own, and information like opening hours can change without notice. Double-check anything that matters. Any purchase you make with a third party is between you and them.

Meeting in real life

Pulse helps you make plans with people you know, but you are responsible for your own safety and conduct when you meet. Use your judgement, look after each other, and report anyone who makes Pulse feel unsafe.

The service

We provide Pulse "as is". We work hard to keep it fast and available, but we don't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change as the product evolves.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Beyond that, we're not liable for indirect losses, or for what happens between you and other members or third-party businesses.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time in the app. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we shut the service down (we'd give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data where we can).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you live elsewhere in the UK, you keep any rights to bring proceedings locally.

Changes

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. Carrying on using Pulse after that means you accept the new terms.
